Choplifter 1-4-84
This version is very close to final. The only real
noticeable differences are that this version lacks the opening
demo and the copyright says 1983 instead of 1984.
Interestingly this demo is actually something new that Atari
decided to add (at the last minute apparently) as the original
Broderbund version has no demo.
Thanks to some code examination by AA member Kr0tki, it
was discovered that this proto still uses the two-chip 16K
cartridge design instead of the one-chip 16K cartridge design
that the final uses. This means that in this prototype all
the ROM addresses are in the $6000-$9FFF range instead of
$8000-$BFFF. This of course cannot be seen in any of the
gameplay.
