Congo Bongo

Original System: Unknown

Congo Bongo was a mildly successful Sega arcade game featuring four different isometric levels that somewhat mimicked a 3-D effect.  When Sega ported Congo Bongo to home consoles they decided to strip out two of the levels (possibly for space reasons) leaving gamers with a rather shallow and short lived game.  It's interesting to note that the Colecovision port featured three levels and most home computer ports that were released on disk featured all four levels.

As Congo Bongo was a quick port from the 400/800 there is only one difference.  The Atari 400/800 port will ask the player if they're using a joystick or keyboard after selecting the number of players.  The Atari 5200, not having a keyboard, skips this prompt.  The manual still mentions the prompt as it was based on the 400/800 version.  Beyond this, both games are exactly the same.
