Popeye

Original System: Atari 400/800

The Atari 400/800 and 5200 versions of Popeye are almost identical with one small difference.  In the Atari 400/800 version when attempting to punch the punching bag you must actually jump off the edge of the ledge and then punch (otherwise Popeye will just punch air).  In the Atari 5200 version you can hit the punching bag by standing on the edge of the ledge and hitting the punch button (Popeye will jump off automatically).  This change was presumably made to make it easier for 5200 owners to hit the bag due to the analog nature of the controllers, although how much this actually helps is debatable.  The arcade game requires the player to jump off the ledge first like the 400/800 version.
