Wordwise 2 is a educational cartridge for
people who want to learn the art of touch typing.
Wordwise 2 offers three different variations to help
develop typing speed and familiarity with key locations.
While almost everyone today knows how to type quickly
thanks to the advent of computers, it wasn't a common skill
back in the 70's.
Since most people probably won't care about learning to
type, Wordwise 2 also offers a word game called Cypher.
In Cypher two teams of players each take turns creating
a series of words, which are then scrambled by the computer.
The other team must try to unscramble them in the
shortest amount of time. While this isn't exactly the
best game ever created, it probably wasn't a bad waste of time
30 years ago.
Wordwise 2 was manufactured from 3-31-78
to 3-2-79 and had a print run of 2,347 copies making it an
uncommon cartridge. Wordwise 2 (along
with Math Tutor, Vice Versa, and APL/S) was one of the last
cartridges still being produced when operations were shut
down.
